Privacy
Short version: we only want your email address, and only to send you the newsletter.
The site
- No ad trackers, no analytics cookies, no accounts. The pages are plain files.
- Our host keeps standard server logs (IP address, page, time) for security, and deletes them on its own schedule.
Glitch in the Credit
- When you sign up we store your email address with our email service, Kit, which sends the newsletter for us.
- We send a confirmation link first. Nothing goes out until you click it.
- Every email has a one-click unsubscribe. Unsubscribing removes you from the list.
- To give you a free API key, we save a personal key link with your subscription at Kit. If you open it, our host, Cloudflare, keeps a scrambled copy of the key, your subscriber ID and a count of your requests per day, so we can enforce the limits. Unsubscribing switches the key off within a week.
- The email service records opens and clicks so we can tell what’s useful. We never sell or share the list.
- We also post each issue on Substack. If you subscribe there instead, Substack holds your address under its own privacy policy.
